WinterDASH is a challenging, grueling, and ultimately fun obstacle course run. Roughly 13 obstacles are spread out over approximately 5km.

Do you have the stamina to survive this winter obstacle course? Climb, crawl, run, jump, and scramble your way to the finish. No equipment needed, just guts. It's all the fun of a mud run, but winterized for your pleasure.
We've created a fun 5k course on which participants will be able to challenge themselves, and that the average active adult can finish in approximately 1.5~2 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: How far will I actually travel?
  • A: Each year, a newly designed course is laid out for a distance of approximately 5-6km.

  • Q: Do I need a team?
  • A: While it is an individual event, there will be obstacles that will require you to assists your fellow participants. This doesn't mean you have to be with the same people the entire race, but you should expect to work with the person in front of, behind, and next to you during the course.

  • Q: How old do I have to be to participate?
  • A: You must be 16 to participate by yourself. If you are 12-16, you may participate, but you must have a responsible adult register and stay with you at all times while you are on the course. Those under the age of 12 are not allowed on the course for safety reasons.

  • Q: What do I get if I win, and how do awards work? Is this a timed event?
  • A: We will have a stopwatch running, and there will be some recognition given to those who finish first. There will also be recognition for those who finish last(but still finish). All participants will receive a great swag bag, stuffed with gifts, treasures, and coupons from our generous sponsors.
  •
  • Q: What if I don't feel comfortable on an obstacle?
  • A: Participate at the level you feel comfortable. If you think it's a bad idea to climb up and over something, we'll agree with you, and we'd suggest you go around and on down the trail to the next obstacle. We recognize that the 5k course by itself may, for some folks, be enough of a challenge, and we have no intention of disqualifying those who chose not to complete every obstacle for safety reasons.

  • Q: I see that there is a donation tab that is part of the registration. Do I have to raise money to participate?
  • A: No. To participate, you must register and pay the registration fee. If you'd like, you're also welcome recruit friends and family to donate to your entry using the donation tool. These donations, which are above and beyond the registration fee, go directly to the Ashwabay Outdoor Educational Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing outdoor recreational opportunities.
